CHiPS Accomplishments
As of October 2007, CHiPS volunteers have participated in over 90 public service projects, including:
  • Habitat restoration in Peñasquitos and Lopez Canyons
  • Pacific Crest Trail maintenance
  • Habitat for Humanity projects
  • Removing Arundo donax from the Sweetwater River
  • Aviary construction for Project Wildlife
  • Wolf pen construction at the Julian Wolf Preserve
  • Restoration projects at Mission Bay
  • Hosting Native American students at SIO
  • Work at the St. Vincent’s Shelter and the San Diego Rescue Mission
  • Helping at the San Diego Children's Museum

CHiPS volunteers have logged over 4000 person-hours of public service work.
