As of October 2007, CHiPS volunteers have participated in over 90 public service projects, including:
- Habitat restoration in Peñasquitos and Lopez Canyons
- Pacific Crest Trail maintenance
- Habitat for Humanity projects
- Removing Arundo donax from the Sweetwater River
- Aviary construction for Project Wildlife
- Wolf pen construction at the Julian Wolf Preserve
- Restoration projects at Mission Bay
- Hosting Native American students at SIO
- Work at the St. Vincents Shelter and the San Diego Rescue Mission
- Helping at the San Diego Children's Museum
CHiPS volunteers have logged over 4000 person-hours of public service work.
